Assistant Professor of Industrial Design at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (I-L-L). A seasoned industrial designer and creative technologist, she brings over two decades of industry experience in design research, concept development, and manufacturing - most recently in wearable and emerging technology sectors.
In her teaching, she explores new methodologies for design with novel technologies, emphasizing social and environmental impact. Her research centers design of emerging technology for regenerative futures. She is currently exploring new materials for interaction design and human-centered AI, embodied interaction, and the role of tacit knowledge in human – AI collaboration in creative processes.
A maker at heart and grounded by my inherent interest for sustainable materials and processes, I hope to shape the future of design and technology to address critical social and environmental challenges.
